Sisterhood

Sisterhood is a curated collection of archived Story Corps interviews from pairs women who identify themselves as “sisters,” both by blood relation and not. The book explores the definition of sisterhood and the unique, unbreakable bond that sisters share. It celebrates a type of relationship that is increasingly important in today’s turbulent, always changing environment.

The four different stories/interviews were thought of as four diffent booklets, woven together with the coil binding methough. This method was chosen to visually represent the strong bond between sisters.

Type|Color

Four different typefaces and colors were chosen for the four different transcripts. They needed to work together visually, without being overwhelming in number, while also helping to support the voice of each interview and relationship. Interstate was chosen for the intro, colophon, and folios because it complimented the other four distinctive typefaces.
