Longhorn Coffee Co.

Longhorn Coffee Co. is an identity I created for a coffee shop at the University of Texas at Austin. I had my hands on the project from beginning to end, from conceptualizing the logo to choosing the paint and vinyl colors in the space. The coffee shop is located in the bustling William C. Powers Student Activity Center on campus.


Identity

The location existed as a fully branded Starbucks before our dining department took over, so we needed an identity that was fresh but that still created a sense of warmth and familiarity to attract and assure students who were used to seeing the Starbucks branding in the space.

I utilized UT’s primary burnt orange, as well as the golden yellow from our secondary palette to help create the familiarity that our students respond to.
